Happy birthday Time Magazine
Updated | By MornéJK
Today marks the 94th birthday of Time Magazine, which was first published on the 3rd of March, 1923.
The issue lacked the distinctive red border for which the magazine has become famous, and the cover subject was the now-obscure Joseph G. Cannon.
"The whole thing was only 32 pages, including the front and back covers. There are only a few photographs or illustrations, and nary a chart or graphic in sight," according to Time's website states.
Time has become famous for their cover pages featuring politicians, celebrities and newsmakers.
Time also hasn't been without its fair share of controversial covers.
Naming Hitler 'Man of the Year' in this 1939 issue is still controversial today, while the magazine made headlines with a provocative cover posing the question: 'Is God Dead?'
In 2012 the magazine shocked a lot of people with this racy cover of 26-year-old mom Jamie Lynne Grummet breast feeding her 3-year-old son.
