President Jacob Zuma has congratulated South African DJ and music producer DJ Black Coffee for winning his first ever BET Award on Sunday.
"This is a great achievement especially because Black Coffee is the first South African music artist to win a Black Entertainment Television (BET) award," the presidency said.
"DJ Black Coffee continues to inspire our youth with this achievement and has now become our prime international export in the music industry, as an example of the South African youth talent," Spokesperson Bongani Ngqulunga told Jacaranda FM News.
He said that the nation is proud of him and his achievements.

"We congratulate him most heartily," said President Zuma in a statement.
The BET Awards were established in 2001 by the Black Entertainment Television network to celebrate African Americans and other minorities in music, acting, sports, and other fields of entertainment over the past year.
The awards are presented annually, and are broadcast live on BET.
