20 children suspectedly poisoned at school: ER24
ER24 says teams were dispatched to a primary school in The Hills in Johannesburg South where 20 children have suspectedly been poisoned.
When they arrived on scene, paramedics found children complaining of abdominal pain as well as nausea and vomiting.
"The patients were immediately treated and thereafter transported to South Rand and Baragwanath Hospital for urgent care," says ER24.
The children later told paramedics that they had "apparently been given sweets by an unknown man the previous day."
Local authorities will be investigating further.
