20 coffins found in Joburg house, police searching for owner

Police were searching for the owner of a house in Orange Grove, east of Johannesburg on Monday, where a least 20 coffins were found the previous day.
Members of the community called police to the house claiming there was suspicious activity, including the selling of drugs.
Gauteng police spokesperson Kay Makhubele confirms an inquiry has been opened to verify these allegations.
"We searched for the owner but he was not in the house to find out as to how the coffins landed in the house."
The community also alleges that the house belongs to the City of Johannesburg and had been hijacked.

"These group of people who were evicting people alleged that the houses in the area have been hijacked, they belonged to the City of Johannesburg. But so far as the inquiry has been opened, we are going to investigate as to how the authenticity of the investigations," says Makhubele.
No dead bodies were found and no arrests made.
