5 dead in Brakpan taxi crash
Five people were killed and six others injured during a crash involving a minibus-taxi on the R23 Heidelberg road in Brakpan on the East Rand on Friday morning.
According to paramedics, the occupants were flung from the vehicle.
"Paramedics, along with various other services, arrived on the scene to find the taxi lying upright on the side of the road. The occupants were found lying around the vehicle after they were ejected when it rolled," ER24 says.

Four men and a woman were declared dead on the scene, while six others were treated for minor to critical injuries.
"Paramedics treated the critically injured patients with advanced life support interventions. They were transported to various hospitals in the area for further treatment."
The cause of the crash is being investigated.
