Mashaba launched ActionSA's election manifesto at Ellis Park Arena in Johannesburg on Saturday.

The manifesto focused on five key priorities, including job creation, an end to load shedding, fighting corruption, securing borders and economic inclusion.

Mashaba told hundreds of supporters that the  party's manifesto is not a list of unattainable promises but a pragmatic plan aimed at addressing some of the country's most

pressing issues.

"It aims to generate millions of new jobs, foster safer communities, secure our borders, ensure access to quality education and healthcare for all, and, for the first time, promote the inclusive

empowerment of all previously disadvantaged South Africans, as well as those hindered by three decades of neglectful, unethical, and unpatriotic governance," the former Joburg mayor said.

Mashaba said his party will partner with the private sector to create over four million jobs over five years.

"Within five years of government, we will launch programs that will result in the private sector creating over 4.8 million new, real jobs.

"We will end load shedding within two years in government. This is something that should have been a decade ago.

"We will ensure economic inclusive and economic justice by implementing inclusive economic empowerment, a universal basic income stimulus, and a programme of insourcing," he said.

Mashaba also vowed to restore the rule of law, stamp out corruption, and fight gender-based violence.

"We will secure our borders, and prioritise South Africa’s interests, by bringing an end to the inflow of illicit goods into the country, while streamlining legal immigration.

"Increasing control over our borders ensures that all goods and people entering South Africa do so lawfully. We will improve the surveillance and management of our country’s borders by deploying the Border Management Authority to reduce crime and harmful illegal trade in South Africa.

"ActionSA will enhance collaboration efforts between the SAPS, SANDF, and the BMA to ensure our borders are monitored effectively. In addition, we will implement technological solutions to better monitor the transnational flow of goods and people between South Africa and its neighbouring countries."

Mashaba said ActionSA would launch a recruitment drive to expand the police service and implement strict physical condition requirements for entering the police service.

"ActionSA will establish more specialised crime units because combatting different crimes requires specialised tactical approaches and expertise. This will include investigative units specialising in anti-gangsterism, financial crimes, organised crime, and economic sabotage

"We will establish more specialised courts to deal with specific crime categories, such as organised crime and corruption, to increase the efficiency of convictions and so increase accountability.

"ActionSA will increase criminal prosecutions by empowering the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) to employ more prosecutors. We will significantly increase the NPA’s budget by allocating funds directly from Parliament."
