Actor Arnu de Villiers says he's proud to have been part of the 7de Laan scene which still has tongues wagging.
Popular Afrikaans soapie 7de Laan caused quite a stir with its decision to broadcast a first-ever gay kiss in one of its latest episodes.
De Villiers, who is not a trained actor, says this was his first onscreen moment.
"I'm proud to be part of this achievement of 7de Laan. It's a step in the right direction," he says.

He says he was a little sceptical when asked to audition for the part.
"I was sceptical because of the nature of the role, but also the specific market. However, I knew it was going to make waves for the right reason and wanted to be part of that."
He says stepping into the role came quite naturally to him.
Social media is still abuzz following Thursday night's episode with the audience divided on how they feel about the scene.
