FIFA INVESTIGATION UPDATE - US and Swiss authorities say they have made progress in the FIFA corruption and bribery investigation, and will indict more individuals and entities in the near future.
The two teams investigating the FIFA bribery scandal gave an update on the investigations in Zurich in Switzerland today, saying that houses have been searched and financial assets seized, and that 121 bank accounts are being investigated.

SENZO MEYIWA INVESTIGATION - Police say that one of their members, who is investigating the Senzo Meyiwa murder case is still working for them.
This comes after reports that captain Joyce Buthelezi pulled out of the probe after her recommendation that those present in the house on the night of the murder, including Kelly Khumalo, be charged and arrested for lying to the police.
The committee overseeing the investigation allegedly rejected one of her key recommendations, and she then pulled out of the investigation.

The Orlando Pirates and Bafana Bafana goalkeeper and captain Meyiwa was shot and killed in what appeared to be a botched armed robbery at his girlfriend Kelly Khumalo's house in Spruitview on the East Rand last October.
FLABBA TRIAL - The State has closed it's case in the murder trail of Sindisiwe Manqele who stands accused of stabbing her boyfriend, Nkululeko 'Flabba' Habedi, in his house in Alexandra in Johannesburg earlier this year.
The investigating officer who handled the murder case was the last to testify and Manqele is expected to stand in the dock tomorrow, when the Defence states their case.

SA'S AGRICULTURE WOES - South Africa's agriculture sector is technically in recession after posting significant decline over the last two quarterly surveys.
This is according to Agbiz CEO John Purchase, who says the 17,4% decline in the second quarter came after the sector had already declined by around 16% in the first quarter of the year.
He says environmental factors such as the drought are only partly to blame for the slowdown in agriculture...
