OSCAR PISTORIUS TO BE RELEASED - Oscar Pistorius is set to be released on correctional supervision next week Tuesday.
The Parole Board decided to grant him correctional supervision from the 20 October, after the Parole Review Board sent the application back to them.
Pistorius is currently serving a five year sentence for culpable homicide, after he shot and killed his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp in his house in Pretoria East in February 2013.

M1 BRIDGE COLLAPSE - Murray & Roberts, the company responsible for the construction of the bridge which collapsed in Sandton, said it would contribute to the funerals of the those who were killed in the incident.
Two people died, and more than 20 people were injured after the bridge collapsed yesterday afternoon.
The M1 highway has since been re-opened. Murray and Roberts CEO Henry Laas says they will assist all those affected by the accident...
WITS PROTEST - The acting Vice Chancellor of Wits University is currently addressing protesting students outside the campus.
The students are blocking all entrances to the university. They are protesting against the proposed increase in fees at the university.

STUDENT FUNDING - Higher Education Minister Blade Nzimande says his department is looking into various possible funding scenarios in response to the much debated student funding problem in the country.
Speaking at the Higher Education Summit in Durban, Nzimande said it's one of the recommendations arising from the review commission on the funding formula of universities...
