Agang SA members to appear in court
Updated | By Neo Leeuw
Three Agang SA members will appear in the Mahwelereng Magistrate's Court, in Mokopane, Limpopo, on Wednesday on charges of malicious damage to property, the party said.
They were arrested on July 22 after a Mzombane residents' meeting ended in chaos, it said in a statement.
"The case was initially heard on July 23 and was postponed, as the magistrate ruled that more time was required to investigate the charge of malicious damage to property," it said.
Agang SA said the members had organised a discussion of their concerns about standards of living and a lack of service delivery with the mayor of Mogalakwena at the meeting.
However, the mayor did not arrive. An African National Congress councillor, who was there instead, was told to leave by angry residents.
