Alberton taxi crash leaves 17 injured

Seventeen people have been injured and two left critically after a taxi rolled on the R59 near the Swartkoppies off-ramp in Alberton.
The taxi crashed on Tuesday morning.
ER24 spokesperson Russell Meiring said the passengers were found lying around the vehicle.
“Medics assessed the patients and found that two people were in a critical condition while fifteen others had sustained minor to serious injuries. Fortunately, no fatalities were found.
“The patients were treated, and the seriously and critically injured were provided with advanced life support interventions before they were transported to nearby hospitals for urgent care.”
The cause of the crash is unknown.
