Ever dreamed of exploring South Africa's national parks?

Now you can from the comfort of your home.
Thanks to nearly 600 volunteers who covered 170 hiking trails across the country - all South African national parks are now on Google Street View.
SanParks spokesperson Janine Raftopoulos says harnessing technology allows for the showcasing of the 19 South African National Parks like never before.
"Google Trekker allows South Africans and foreigners to explore and discover what the different parks have to offer.
"We're really excited that this introduces a new dimension to planning a trip and what better way to do it than through a virtual itinerary which you can then make reality," Raftopoulos says.
The Google Trekker project will further enhance the park's global footprint.
It will also allow visitors to see the terrain of the trail and prepare for hikes before they arrive on the nature reserve.
The 360 degree view of the parks allows you to ride the cableway at Table Mountain, climb the notorious Platteklip Gorge and so much more.
Explore the Garden Route, as well as the basalt buttresses, deep-cut ravines and plunging waterfalls of the uKhahlamba-Drakensberg, explore the country's most iconic Kruger National Park,
You also have an opportunity to explore Mzansi's hidden gems.
