Ekurhuleni Acting Mayor, Lesiba Mpya, says the city is astonished and regrets the behaviour of the official in the video.
"We are assuring the public that the officer will be undergoing disciplinary processes. We have to consider labour relations issues so that we get to the bottom of this and usefully put corrective measures into place," says Lesiba Mpya.
Mpya says he has instructed the region's Chief of Police to summon the implicated cop.
He adds he expects a full, consolidated report of what took place.
