ANC calls for end to violence following mayoral candidate announcement

The African National Congress (ANC) has condemned the violence which broke out in Pretoria on Sunday.
Leaders were briefing the party's structures about the mayoral candidate for Tshwane in the run up to the local election on 3 August.
One person was shot following an altercation between two groups of ANC members.
ANC Gauteng chair Paul Mashatile has called for calm among members of the ruling party.
