ANC leaders reportedly meeting in Pretoria
Updated | By JacarandaFM News
The ANC's top leaders are believed to have moved their meeting to the Presidential residence in Pretoria.
Ruling party Secretary General Gwede Mantashe confirmed on Thursday the ANC Top 6 would meet to discuss the historic and damning Constitutional Court judgment - that President Jacob Zuma violated the constitution by failing to comply with the Public Protector's remedial order to repay money spent on his Nkandla homestead.
It seems the meeting has been moved to Mahlamba Ndlopfu, the official residence for the President of South Africa in Bryntirion, Pretoria.
This comes after top officials met at Luthuli House in Johannesburg earlier in the morning.
Opposition parties have ramped up pressure on President Zuma calling for his impeachment or for him to step down voluntarily following the Constitutional Court judgment.
While the ANC is keeping mum, it seemed that the meeting started a few hours ago.
The question now is: Will Zuma jump or will he be pushed?
Or, will the ANC leadership back Zuma in what is one of the biggest political crisis yet to face the party.
