ANC NEC to meet on Sunday
Updated | By Sinethemba Madolo
The African National Congress (ANC) has confirmed that the National Executive Committee (NEC) will be meeting on Sunday for two days.
The ANC's spokesperson Khusela Diko says the meeting was called to finalise matters that were not finalised in the last NEC meeting, which was held in January.
This will be the first NEC meeting since former President Jacob Zuma's resignation on 14 February.
Diko says the issues that will discussed include the resolution of the 54th national conference and matters of deployments of newly elected leaders to the various provinces and sub committees they will be heading.
Answering whether or not a cabinet reshuffle is on the table, Diko says such issues are not discussed by the NEC.

Among Ramaphosa's most pressing priorities are to select a deputy president, which has to answer questions in parliament on Wednesday.
Ramaphosa also has to respond to findings by the Public Protector, Busisiwe Mkhwebane, that Public Enterprises minister Lynne Brown violated the Executive Ethics Code.
Mkhwebane found that Brown mislead Parliament and disclosed false facts on the transaction between Eskom and the Gupta-linked Trillian.
Ramaphosa has 14 days to inform parliament of steps he will take against the minister.
