African National Congress (ANC) stalwart Zola Skweyiya has passed away at the age of 75.
The country has lost another struggle icon on Wednesday morning.
The ANC's Donovan Cloete confirmed Skweyiya's passing.
He would have celebrated his 76th birthday in three days.
The party says Skweyiya devoted his life to the fight for liberation after he returned from exile in 1990.

Skweyiya is a former Minister of Public Service and Administration and Minister of Social Development.
He retired from Cabinet and as a Member of Parliament in 2009 after 15 years of service.
His passing comes as thousands prepare to mourn Winnie Madikizela-Mandela at the Orlando Stadium in Soweto at government's official memorial service.
The country also bid farewell to veteran Archibald Sibeko in March after suffering a stroke at his home in London.
