Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma is set to get the backing of the ANC Youth League (ANCYL) in the race to become thenext president of the ANC.
The Youth League met for an extended NEC meeting this past weekend at the St Georges Hotel in Pretoria.
The ANC Women's League and MKMVA have officially endorsed Dlamini-Zuma as successor to her ex-husband Jacob Zuma and youth league.
This past weekend's meeting decided on Dlamini-Zuma as their preferred candidate, with Mpumalanga premier David Mabuza as the Deputy President.

The league also wants the introduction of a second deputy general secretary in the form of Fikile Mbalula.
Free State Premier Ace Magashule is set to get their nod as Secretary General.
All the league's preferred candidates are members of the so-called premier league, a decision which could further entrench the factions in the party.
