This comes after allegations revealed at the commission of inquiry into state capture by former Bosasa COO Angelo Agrizzi, who told the commission that Andile Ramaphosa’s company, Blue Crane, received R2 million from the controversial facilities management company.

Ramaphosa took to social media on Sunday to explain his relationship with Bosasa.

"The R2 million that was received by Blue Crane through the period of the 12 months was deployed towards resourcing of these projects. It was money that was utilised towards the implementation of at least the first project as well that we actually delivered. So, these monies, there are tangible results of what we've done," Ramaphosa said.

"It was not money that was for me, it was money for the business, I want to categorically state that it was not a gift or a favour."

The businessman has now also appointed a legal firm to review all his business relationships, saying the allegations raised at the commission has had a negative impact on Blue Crane.

"I have appointed a legal firm to assist with the review process which will carry out due diligence investigations on all my previous and current business partnerships and to devise a risk management framework going forward to identify and eliminate unethical and potentially questionable relationships."
