Arms inquiry postponed: Report
Updated | By Lonwabo Miso
The Seriti Commission of Inquiry into the 1999 arms deal has been postponed for a week, the SABC reported on Monday.
Evidence leaders battled to get their hands on documents in possession of Richard Young, the arms deal whistleblower who laid corruption charges with the Hawks in 2009.
Young was believed to have 15,000 documents, and some that could compromise the commission and certain witnesses.
The commission, which is investigating allegations of corruption in the multi-billion-rand arms deal, has prepared a draft order compelling Young to make available some key documents.
The public hearings in Pretoria resume next Monday.
