Basic Education minister denies claims of exam paper leaks
Updated | By Celumusa Zulu
Basic Education says none of the matric papers were compromised during the writing of the National Senior Certificate exams this year.
Minister Angie Motshekga's refuted claims that there've been paper leaks.
She described it as fake news during a media briefing on Sunday.
The Class of 2023 has entered the final week of the exams with six more papers left to write.
Motshekga also touched on the issue of safety, urging communities to keep a close watch on schools over the December and January holidays.
"As a sector, we become very anxious when schools close for a long period. Schools get vandalised, and there are a lot of difficulties that we normally have. So, we want to again appeal to communities to take care of their schools."
