Body of cop who died in Soweto floods recovered

Johannesburg emergency services have recovered the body of a 36-year-old police officer who was swept away by the floods in Soweto on Friday.
Ntsako Pataka's body was found in Mofolo South on Sunday morning.
Police spokesperson Athlenda Mathe said Pataka had served as a cop for 15 years.
“At the time of his death, the off-duty member’s private vehicle was swept away in floods caused by heavy downpours of rain on Friday.
“Since then, search and rescue teams have been working hard in recovering the member’s body."
The 36-year-old warrant officer served as a VIP protector.
