Boy (6) drowns in water tank
Updated | By Shaun Ryan
A six year-old boy from the Malangeni area, near Park Rynie on the KwaZulu Natal south coast, has died after falling into an unused water tank.

Emergency services were alerted to the entrapment in Phase 2 Malangeni late yesterday afternoon.
It took rescuers about six-hours to recover the boy's body from inside the concrete tank.
KwaZulu Natal Emergency Medical Service's Robert McKenzie says the circumstances leading to the incident are still unclear.
"The rescue operation, which took about six hours to complete, resulted in the lifeless body of the small six year-old boy being recovered, and also saw about 20 000 litres of water being drained from the tank," says McKenzie.
