Updated | By Lulutho Mkosi
Two brothers accused of killing their mother in Brakpan on Woman’s Day have denied committing the crime.
The brothers claim they found their 43-year-old mother in their home with a knife in her throat.
Brakpan police spokesperson Pearl van Staad says the sons will appear in court on Monday.
“The younger brother claims that he was asleep, and the older brother was in the vicinity of the home.
“When the police officer was on the scene they claimed that they did not know who committed the crime,” says Van Staad.
Police have opened a case of murder and have seized the apparent murder weapon.
