The deputy chairwoman will be Bulelwa Soci. The other board members are Robert Nkuna, Eric Zakwe, Zibuse Ngidi, Nomahlubi Simamane, Lynette Molefi, Marion Marole, Joel Ngubane, and Phetole Rabohale, Cabinet said in a statement issued following its fortnightly meeting on Wednesday.

Lushaba was brought in to turn around the Post Office after it was placed under administration in November 2014 after a four-month-long illegal strike all but brought mail services to a halt.

Post and Telecommunications Minister Siyabonga Cwele conceded recently that the Post Office owed more than R245 million to its suppliers.

In June, he extended Lushaba’s term as administrator for a second time, until the end of September.

On Tuesday, Communications Minister Faith Muthambi told MPs that the imminent appointment of a new board was a sign that the Post Office was turning the corner.
