Cape Town expected to get some relief from the drought

Cape Town is expected to receive some relief from the drought, as the South African Weather Service (SAWS) is predicting some rainfall  for the province this coming weekend.

SAWS forecaster Mbali Maliyakhe says a cold front is expected to hit the Western Cape, bringing some rainfall with it.


"The cold front is expected to hit the Western Cape this coming Friday," says Maliyakhe.

The SAWS says the cold front is expected to bring at least 60% of rainfall.


"At this point we have forecasted a 60% chance of some showers and rain especially along the western coast. Also into Saturday we are expecting a 60% chance of rainfall," adds Maliyakhe.
