Madisha and another 25-year-old man both died in the fiery crash in the early hours of Sunday morning.

It's believed the driver of a BMW 1-series lost control and crashed into the pole of a billboard on Zuurfontein Road in Chloorkop.

Gauteng police spokesperson Mathapelo Peters says both succumbed to their injuries at the scene.

"The car caught fire and the driver who was trapped inside perished therein, while the passenger whose body was partially burnt, was found next to the car and he too was declared dead on the scene by Ekurhuleni emergency services.

"Police are at this point not at liberty to disclose or confirm the identities of the deceased," she adds.

Tributes have also started pouring in on social media.

But league winners Sundowns has not confirmed Madisha's fiery death.

Spokesperson Mashupje Nkgadima says the club will issue a statement soon.

"We have become aware of certain media reports concerning Motjeka Madisha and will make an announcement in due course."

The news comes only a couple of days after the funeral of former Bafana Bafana and Mamelodi Sundowns star Anele Ngcongca.
