Cele gives police tight deadline to find Hillary Gardee killers

Police Minister Bheki Cele has sent a stern warning to the killers of Hillary Gardee, the daughter of former EFF secretary-general Godrich Gardee.
Cele visited the family of the slain 28-year-old in Mpumalanga on Tuesday after her lifeless body was discovered earlier in the day.
Hillary's body was found dumped in bushes outside Mbombela after she was first reported missing on Friday.
Police say the body was found on Tuesday morning with wounds to the head.
Her belongings were also unaccounted for.
Several speculations have since been circulating on social media, including the possibility that it was a politically-linked hit.
But Cele said the motive is not yet top of mind.
"We'll come much later to that. For now, we are looking for the criminal that murdered a young human being and it does look like in a brutal way.
"So let us get that person and it will help us if there are politics in it, if there are economics in it, if it's just hate or passions or whatever kind but we are not looking for any motive for now," Cele said.
Cele added officers have been mobilised to search for the suspects.
"Comforting the family is fine but they expect more than that. We just need to do wat they are expecting that they need to know who did it and why.
"We give ourselves 72 hours, we give ourselves less than that this time," he added.
Earlier, Cele visited the crime scene where he received a report from local police in the Ehlanzeni district.ALSO READ:
