Cele to receive full report into political related killings

Police Minister Bheki Cele will receive a full report into politically related killings in KwaZulu-Natal on Wednesday.
Ministerial spokesperson Lirandzu Themba, says Cele will visit the Pietermaritzburg area.
“Minister Cele will receive a full report from the Task Team investigating political related cases and will thereafter pay a comfort visit to the family of the aspirant ward councillor killed in the Pietermaritzburg area.”

Cele’s visit follows a spate of killings in KwaZulu-Natal, as the nation builds up to the local government elections on 1 November.
The most recent killing is that of of Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) potential ward councillor, Thulani Shangase.
HE was shot and killed on Sunday in the Plessislaer area in Pietermaritzburg, while returning from an EFF campaign meeting in Herwood.
