The body of a child has been found in Soweto.

It's believed to be the body of a girl who was swept away during flash floods in Johannesburg yesterday.
A child had been reported missing in Dobsonville in Soweto following heavy downpour across the province.
Gauteng police spokesperson Kay Makhubele says: "We received a call of a body which had been found along a river in Mofolo in Soweto this afternoon."
An inquest docket has been opened for investigation.
Yesterday, Johannesburg Metro Police Department spokesperson Wayne Minnaar confirmed a child had been swept away by a strong current along Elias Motsoaledi Road in Dobsonville.

In a separate incident, one person died following an accident during the heavy rain yesterday.
However, Minnaar says the exact cause of the accident is yet to be confirmed.
"The accident happened on Mnandi Road in Diepsloot. It did happen in the rain, but the cause of the accident will be investigated."
Arterial routes had been flooded and cars swept away during the heavy downpour.
