Civil society groups meet with ANC over SABC
Updated | By Slindelo Masikane
The ANC has assured civil society groups the party is taking issues at the SABC seriously.
The Right2Know campaign and SOS Coalition gathered outside Luthuli House on Friday, demanding the public broadcaster be overhauled.
They want COO Hlaudi Motsoeneng to go and have demanded an end to censorship.
The Right2Know campaign and the SOS Coalition say they won't back down until the SABC is freed from political interference.
Following a meeting with ANC leadership at Luthuli House, the civil society groups say they won't compromise on their demands.
Right2Know's Micah Reddy says there are clear divisions in the ANC around Communication Minister Faith Muthambi's leadership...
"She's a bit of a delinquent minister, but there are clearly political issues that are preventing her being redeployed or moved on," Reddy said.
