Class action suit to be brought against Ford over Kuga fires
Updated | By Slindelo Masikane
The family of Reshall Jimmy says all they want is closure.

Jimmy burnt to death in his Ford Kuga in December 2015.
The family is now preparing for a class action suit against Ford with several other dissatisfied Kuga drivers.
Despite Ford announcing a safety recall of the Kuga 1.6l, the siblings of Jimmy Reshall want the company to take responsibility for their brother's death.
Jimmy's brother, Kaveen, has accused Ford South African of failing to contact them, despite the fact that they wanted to assist with the investigation.
"Their first gut instinct was to try and point evidence in any direction but themselves. One would expect that any big international brand, like Ford, would contact the family and not only offer their condolences, but share with us their plan on investigating the matter," says Kaveen.
Jimmy's sister, Renisha, says the safety recall of the vehicle simply isn't enough.
"They should have taken these cars off the road. The safety recall is very disappointing," says Renisha.
