Community patrollers killed in police crash
Updated | By Gerda de Sousa
Four community patrollers were killed early Saturday
morning, while they were being transported in a police vehicle.

Gauteng police spokesperson, Mathapelo Peters, says the accident happened in the Vanderbijlpark area in the south of Gauteng.
Two police officers were also injured.
Peters says it is reported ten community patrollers were ferried in the state vehicle from the barrage in Sedibeng.
“The police vehicle collided with another vehicle.”
Peters says she cannot comment as to why the patrollers were in the police vehicle, as police are currently investigating a case of culpable homicide.
