The trial of a father accused of killing his four children resumed in the Polokwane High Court in Limpopo on Thursday.
Lucas Phasha allegedly killed his children, who were all under the age of ten, at their home at Ga-Phasha outside Burgersfort in February last year.
It is alleged that the three older children were hacked to death with an axe, while the youngest was bludgeoned with a stone.

Spokesperson for the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) in Limpopo Mashudu Malabi-Dzhangi says a witness told the court about Phasha's Facebook status, where he allegedly admitted to the crimes.
“After the state and defense lawyer led the witness, by the part of trial within a trial, the witness told the court about the Facebook page on the day of the incident.
"His lawyer challenged the admissibility and the content of this Facebook page as evidence.
"The court is due to give a ruling on 25 March," Malabi-Dzhangi says.
The murder trial will resume in April.
