Court tells Gordhan 'law is clear enough'
Updated | By Jacaranda FM news
The High Court in Pretoria has dismissed an application by former Finance Minister Pravin Gordhan.

Gordhan applied for a declaratory order in March, that he can't get involved in the battle between the country's banks and the controversial Gupta family.

The application came when most South African banks closed accounts linked to Gupta-owned companies.
However the court dismissed the case stating that the law is clear enough and that the power of a Finance Minister has already been defined.
Gordhan brought the application a week before he was fired as Finance Minister in March.
Gordhan has also been ordered to pay the costs of Gupta-owned Oakbay Resources.
