Court to rule on Mcebo Dlamini's bail tomorrow
Updated | By Slindelo Masikane
Supporters of Wits student leader Mcebo Dlamini believe he will soon be a free man.
Dlamini is appealing the decision to deny him bail, with judgement expected tomorrow.
He faces five charges, including malicious damage to property, theft and assault
Students and workers clad in 'Free Mcebo' t-shirts came in their numbers to support Dlamini, who wasn't in court himself.
Advocate Dali Mpofu told the court that the charges are not only politically motivated, but also laughable.
Student leader Vuyani Pambo commended Dlamini's legal team on a job well done and says they will be ready to welcome Dlamini back home tomorrow.
"What we saw in court is heart-warming. To see a bench of black lawyers making sure that a black child does not rot in jail," says Pambo.
