Covid-19 active cases increase after Easter

The number of active Covid-19 has increased to 21 700, a week after the Easter holidays.
Statistics released by Dr Zweli Mkhize on Thursday evening, show that KwaZulu-Natal, the Northern and Western Cape have the most number of active cases.
There have been 1 366 new infections over the past 24 hours.

The total number of people in the country that have been infected with the deadly virus now stands at 1 554 975.
South Africa’s cumulative recoveries stand at 1 480 632, representing a recovery rate of 95%.
