DA election billboard vandalised (again)
Updated | By Lindiwe Mpanza
The Democratic Alliance (DA) will lay criminal charges after its latest election billboard was burnt a day after it was put up.

The billboard, which was unveiled in the Johannesburg CBD on Sunday, puts the blame for the latest bout of load-shedding on the African National Congress (ANC) with the words: 'The ANC has killed the lights affecting 57 million South Africans. Time for us to take their power.'
The DA’s John Steenhuisen says no amount of vandalism will hide the fact that Eskom is failing in its mandate.
"You cannot have a situation, particularly leading into election, where you have this kind of intolerance. Where you don’t like a message, you simply burn it down. That is not what a democracy is all about, there needs to be freedom of speech and parties need to be able to articulate their ideas.”
Steenhuisen says the party will fix the billboard.
