DA to 'interrogate' Mokgalapa over Tshwane wage deal
Updated | By Neo Motloung
Democratic Alliance (DA) head of governance James Selfe is
set to meet with City of Tshwane Mayor Stevens Mokgalapa on Monday.

Labour unions, South African Municipal Workers' Union (Samwu) and Independent Municipal & Allied Trade Union (Imatu) embarked on the strike following a decision by the city to hike the wages of its top management by 18% while excluding general workers from the deal.
The parties reached an agreement on Friday, which includes a reversal of the 18% hike and a once-off payment to the lower-paid workers.
Selfe says the party is disturbed by the agreement, which it believes could end up costing the cash-strapped metro R318m.
"It's very, very expensive. We are uncomfortable with the fact this was taken out of the hands of the administration in Tshwane," says Selfe.
Selfe adds he will be meeting with Mokgalapa to “interrogate” the decision.
"To find whether there is a way to settle the matter in another manner."
