Updated | By Lindiwe Mpanza
Two suspects are expected to appear in the Johannesburg Magistrates Court on Wednesday after being found in possession of drugs worth R4 million.
The pair -aged 35 and 44 - were arrested during a police stop-and-search operation on Tuesday.
Gauteng police spokesperson Mathapelo Peters says a third suspect was subsequently arrested after he attempted to bribe police officers with R10 000 to secure the release of the two suspects.
Peters says the men were arrested after police pulled over a suspicious vehicle.
"The members stopped the vehicle and while searching, found drugs in the car and immediately arrested both suspects for possession of - and dealing in - drugs."
Meanwhile, 21 other suspects were arrested across Gauteng for drug-related charges over the long weekend.
