Authorities are anticipating another long day as they continue their efforts to completely douse the fire that broke out yesterday morning.

It appears there is progress in the firefighting efforts, as eThekwini Chief Fire Commander, Enoch Mchunu, says they have reduced the number of firefighters on the scene from around 150 to 80.
Mchunu also says businesses and roads that had been closed in the immediate vicinity of the warehouse yesterday, have since been reopened.
"By this time there should be no problem in terms of the immediate industrial activities. We just closed them down last night as a matter of precaution, So, at 4am today we opened the roads that were closed last night so there's free-flowing traffic. The nearby industries may continue with their business - there's no immediate danger," Mchunu said.
Meanwhile, Durbanites have rallied around the dozens of brave firefighters who have been tackling the blaze, praising them for their hard work.
Local businesses and organisations, including Gift of the Givers, supported the emergency teams on the ground by supplying them with food and other refreshments.
