E-tolls serious problem in Gauteng: ANCYL
Updated | By Silindelokuhle Masikane

"We therefore call on Sanral to stop billing motorists until the rest hands over its report to the premier on the best mechanism of solving the e-toll headache," chairman Matome Chiloane told reporters in Johannesburg.
He was speaking at the African National Congress Youth League's 70th birthday celebrations.
Public hearings on the socio-economic impact of the e-tolls were being heard in Midrand.
The panel would focus on the implications and perceptions of financing the Gauteng Freeway Improvement Project (GFIP) with e-tolls.
Organisations were invited to respond to the information provided by the GFIP's implementers.
The panel was expected to report back to Gauteng premier David Makhura at the end of November.
Chiloane added that the ANC chairperson should be the premier of the province and vice versa.
"Whilst we acknowledge that the ANC remains the only centre of power, we maintain that there is a better synergy in the province when the chair of the ANC is the same individual as the premier."
The ANC chairman in the province is Paul Mashatile.
