Eastern and Western Cape account for biggest increase in Covid-19 deaths

The Eastern and Western Cape provinces are accounting for the most Covid-19 related deaths according to the latest statistics.
New data released by Health Minister Dr Zweli Mkhize shows that the Eastern Cape has recorded an increase of 17 coronavirus deaths, while the Western Cape recorded an increase of 13 deaths.
The provinces were followed by the Northern Cape with 9 fatalities and Gauteng recording one death.

The the total number of Covid-19 deaths increased to 21 477 by Sunday evening.
The number of new Covid-19 cases as of Sunday stands at 2 563, bringing the total number of infections in the country to 787 702.
