EFF commends #OccupyLuthuliHouse movement

The EFF believes the ANC is in a state of panic following the party's disappointing performance at the recent polls.

The party briefed media Monday afternoon on resolutions taken by its Central Command Team (CCT).

The EFF said it had nothing to do with the crisis within the ANC, with Chairman Dali Mpofu laughing off suggestions that he is funding the ruling party's downfall.

Mpofu said the ANC is merely looking for scapegoats to blame for their internal war.

"Why would you spend R5 million to kill an organisation that is already on its deathbed, an organisation that is at war with itself," Mpofu asked.

Meanwhile, EFF leader Julius Malema commended the #OccupyLuthuliHouse movement for their action.

"I'm very happy they took the initiative. I celebrate their courage. Even when they saw that rented mob of so-called MKMVA, those nyaope delinquents, the young people were still courageous enough to go," Malema said.

EFF dealing with party members

The red berets have resolved to deal decisively with members who do not pay their party levy.

The party has resolved to dissolve and rebuild its leadership structures in the Eastern Cape and KwaZulu Natal.

The EFF says there are members refusing to pay the 15 percent mandatory party levy, while at the same time living a lavish lifestyle.

Malema said the EFF is funded strictly by its members, to avoid being captured by white monopoly capital.

826 newly elected EFF councillors will have to donate half their salaries to repay the debt racked up during elections.

Malema said some members have already been dealt with.

"We have, so far, suspended the Provincial Secretary of Mpumalanga. When the party went to deduct the money from his account, he went to the bank and reversed that transaction in an open, clear defiance of the organisation. There are many others like that. The party is still processing them and toward the end of the week, those who have not complied...their names will be released and how much they owe the EFF," he said.

Malema said they will not be a party built on friendship.

"There are people who come to the EFF and think they will benefit, because they are friends of leaders."
