EFF to protest at Siemens over racial discrimination claims

Members of the EFF in Gauteng are set to march to the offices of Siemens in Midrand on Friday morning.
The party claims the technology company is guilty of unfair labour practice and racism.
Johannesburg metro police spokesperson Xolani Fihla says the march has been given the green light.
“Today, there is a protected strike or march. The members of the EFF Gauteng did apply for a march where they will be handing over a memorandum on their grievances to Siemens allegedly due to unfair labour practices that has been applied for.
“Our metro police officers will most definitely be ready within the area; the EFF will be gathering at just outside Siemens Park.”
On Thursday, EFF members shut down N1 from Mall of Africa as part of a protest at the Office of the Chief Justice.
The party were protesting against the ruling of the Constitutional Court that ordered the release on parole of Chris Hani’s killer Janusz Walus.
