EFF spent R500 000 to defend Bonginkosi Khanyile: Malema
Updated | By JacarandaFM News
Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) leader Julius Malema says the party racked up legal bills of R500 000 to get Fees Must Fall activist Bonginkosi Khanyile released on bail.

Khanyile approached the highest court in the land after he spent six months behind bars.
Addressing supporters outside the court in Johannesburg, Malema said the EFF cares about Khanyile, because he cares for students.
Malema said the R500 000 was money well spent.
"All those fighting for black people, they must be loved and they must be taken care of, because they care about the neglected masses," said Malema.
