Ekurhuleni urges holiday travellers to adhere to road rules during Easter weekend

Ekurhuleni MMC for Community Safety, Councillor Sizakele Masuku, has urged motorists to adhere to the rules of the over the Easter long weekend.

This as thousands of motorists are expected to travel in and out Gauteng to their respective holiday destinations over the next few days.
Masuku launched the 2024 Ekurhuleni Easter Season Campaign yesterday.
She said the metro is yearning for a safer easter holiday period this year.
"We are here because we know that Ekurhuleni is a big interchange because OR Tambo International Airport is here. We also have big routes that connect us to other provinces, we are fortunate or unfortunate to be that city but we welcome everyone".
Ekuruhleni Executive Mayor Sivuyile Ngodwana has also pleaded with motorists to refrain from driving under the influence of alcohol.
