The police’s Sam Tselangane says a case of house robbery is being investigated.

“We can confirm that a case of house robbery and inquest were registered with the police in Stella, following an 87-year-old man and his 57-year-old son being attacked by a group of five armed balaclava-wearing men.”

Tselangane says investigations into the incident are ongoing.

“The suspects tied the victims up and assaulted them before ransacking the house, taking several house and electronic items. The suspects fled the scene with the victim's bakkie. The victims sustained minor injuries, however the 87-year-old later passed on. The cause of death is yet to be determined and investigations into the matter continues.”
