Elderly man killed on church premises

A manhunt has been launched for the suspects involved in the killing of an 83-year-old Roman Catholic Father Joseph Hollanders in Bodibe Village in North West.
The body of the elderly man was found at his own property within the church grounds on Monday.
A neighbour, who discovered the body, alerted police on Monday morning.

Provincial spokesperson Adéle Myburgh says Hollanders had been tied up by his hand and feet.
“The motive of the incident is unknown at this stage and a postmortem will be conducted to determine the cause of death.
“The suspect, or suspects, responsible for the murder remain at large.”
