[LISTEN] Eskom implements Stage 2 load shedding

Eskom has announced it is implementing stage 2 load shedding on Wednesday due to a lack of capacity.

The power utility says this could last as long as a week.

The power utility has advised customers to check their load shedding schedules and if they are serviced by a municipal authority, to check their loadshedding schedules with the particular muinicpality.

In September, Eskom said there were no planned power cuts for September and October.
However, Eskom then added the risk remained as the system is still tight and vulnerable while more maintenance is planned during the summer months.
